Nepal: The Birthplace of Buddhism

Nepal, renowned as the birthplace of Buddha, serves as the cradle from which the profound religion of love and peace, Buddhism, flourished. Trips Itinerary

Day 1

When you arrive Kathmandu. We come to assist upon your arrival in Kathmandu airport by our representative and escort to the hotel. The overnight stay will be at the hotel in Kathmandu on bed and breakfast basis.

Day 2

In the morning we drive to visit Pharping Gompa and later we drive further to Swoyambhunath stupa, one of the Buddhist shrines and also known as the monkey temple situated on the hillock towards the west of Kathmandu and overlooking the Kathmandu valley. Unlike other stupas, this stupa has got a spiral shape which has typical significance.
In the evening we visit to Kapan Monastery and later proceed to Boudhnath stupa, another Buddhist shrine of the valley which is one of the biggest of its kind in Asia. The overnight stay will be at the hotel in Kathmandu on bed & breakfast basis.

Day 3

After having breakfast we will drive to Namobudha and visit the shrine and later drive to Dhulikhel. The pilgrimage site of Namo Buddha is about forty kilometers towards south east from the Boudhanath Stupa. Located on a slightly elevated land, it is a pleasant and out-of-the way place. The landscape below resembles an eight-petaled lotus, and the sky above has the form of a wheel with nine spokes. In this wide panorama, some mountains glisten white like a conch shell or a crystal. In brief, Namo Buddha is a place of pilgrimage highly esteemed by people from all over the world, East and West. The overnight stay will be at the hotel in Dhulikhel on bed and breakfast basis.

Day 4

Witness the sunrise view from the hotel premises and after having breakfast, drive to the domestic airport in Kathmandu to fly to Lumbini. Upon reaching Lumbini, transfer to the hotel and the rest of the day at leisure. The overnight stay will be at hotel Nirvana in Bhairahawa.

Day 5

After having breakfast, proceed to Lumbini garden to visit to the birth place of Lord Buddha and different monasteries built by different nations. The overnight stay will be at Hotel Nirvana in Bhairahawa on bed and breakfast basis.

Day 6

Free until departure. Later, transfer to the Bhairahawa airport to fly to Kathmandu. Receive in Kathmandu and escort to the hotel. The overnight stay will be at the hotel in Kathmandu on bed & breakfast basis.
